Olivia Wilde dazzles in a stunning Chevron-style dress at the 2022 LACMA Art + Film Gala

Olivia Wilde exuded modern elegance as she arrived at the 2022 LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

The Don’t Worry Darling director, 38, dazzled in a low-cut silver and purple Chevron-style sequin dress as she walked the red carpet.

For a bold style, Wilde donned a pair of red vinyl opera gloves.

The actress-turned-author’s striking dress showcased her smooth neckline and a hint of bust.

Her golden brown hair fell down her back in voluminous curls and she tied a pair of earrings to her ears.

As for makeup, Wilde had a radiant complexion and her piercing blue eyes were lined with black eyeliner.

Her eyelids were dusted with warm brown eyeshadow and she applied a pink gloss to her lips.

After walking the red carpet, Wilde headed inside the museum.

She was captured mingling with stunning actress Jodie Turner-Smith, who turned heads in a plunging dress.

The 11th annual gala, presented by Gucci, was held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art located on famous Wilshire Blvd.

According to the official press release, artist Helen Pashgian was honored. She is “an influential pioneer of the Southern California Light and Space movement, alongside pioneering Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook”.

Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow co-chaired the event.

“Proceeds from the annual Art + Film Gala go to fund LACMA’s initiative to place film at the heart of the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission,” the website reads.

“This includes exhibitions, acquisitions and educational programs, in addition to screenings that explore the intersection of art and film.”

Although Wilde appeared happy and healthy at the gala on Saturday, her boyfriend Harry Styles is currently battling a brutal flu.

Unfortunately for the 28-year-old singer’s fans, he canceled three of his sold-out concerts in Los Angeles just hours before he took the stage at the Kia Forum in Inglewood.

The “devastated” star, 28, revealed the news via her Instagram Story.

He was scheduled to perform on Saturday November 5, Sunday November 6 and Monday November 7 in the 70,000 seat arena. The three concerts have been postponed to January.

Styles was also forced to cancel Friday night’s Los Angeles show due to “group illness”, according to a tweet posted by the venue.

As part of the North American leg of her “Love On Tour”, Styles is headlining a 15-night residency at the Kia Forum. It started on October 31.

“Towards the end of the show on Wednesday, I started feeling unwell and have been in bed with the flu ever since,” Harry’s statement began.

“I did everything I could to be able to sing tonight, but I’m leaving the doctor now and I’m devastated that it just isn’t possible.”

“Until very recently I haven’t had to postpone a show due to illness in the 12 years of touring. I’m so sorry to do that, and if there was anyway I could do the show, I would.

“I’m sorry this news comes so close to showtime, but it was my sincerest hope to be able to perform for you tonight. I know many of you have planned trips to Los Angeles to see the show, and that means the absolute world to me.

“Shows on November 5, 6 and 7 will be rescheduled to January 26, 27 and 29, 2023. Everything else will play out as scheduled.”

‘I can’t wait to see you then, and I’m so sorry. All my love,” he wrote at the end. ‘H.’

This canceled list of shows in Los Angeles joins a canceled performance in Chicago on October 6, which was eventually rescheduled for October 10.

‘Out of an abundance of caution,’ read a last-minute statement from the Chicago venue, ‘tonight’s Harry Styles show on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the United Center has been rescheduled to Monday, October 10, 2022 due to band/crew illnesses.’

Even though that gig was only pushed back four days, voracious Harry fans didn’t take the news too well.

“This may be the worst news I have ever received in my life,” one fan lamented on Twitter.

The massive Love On Tour business finally seems to be catching up with Styles and his entourage.

As the disease gradually afflicted the pop star’s band and now Styles himself, the megastar kept churning out high-octane performances and attending Hollywood premieres.

In addition to the seven legs of his world tour, Styles launched a film career with recent hit Don’t Worry Darling and his latest release My Policeman, which dropped on Amazon Prime over the weekend.

The 22-month extravaganza is set to wrap up in Italy next year in 2023. It has become a bona fide pop culture sensation, propelling Styles into the stratosphere.
