Artemis 1 moon rocket ‘ready to go’ for Nov. 14 launch, NASA says

While NASA officials stressed during a media conference call today (November 3) that the agency’s highly anticipated Artemis 1 lunar mission will be difficult, they said they were confident in the next attempted launch on November 14.

The Artemis 1 mission stack, consisting of the enormous Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft, is scheduled to deploy again to Launch Pad 39B from NASA’s Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida at 12:01 a.m. EDT (0401 GMT) on Friday, November 4. . The SLS stack visited the pad three times, once in March and June for pre-launch refueling tests, and again in mid-August for two failed launch attempts. The rocket was then brought back to the VAB on September 27 for overcome hurricane ianwhere it has since been undergoing repairs and pre-flight checks.
