Heidi Klum dressed up as a worm at her star-studded 21st annual Halloween party at Sake No Hana at the new Lower East Side Moxy hotel on Monday.
Klum turned out to be quite a trap for her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who dressed as a fisherman with his worm-eaten wife hooked on his line.
“I tried to think outside the box and come up with other things and last year I thought, oh, a tree would be really cool, or like a plant, and then I kind of went from plant to worm of rain,” she told reporters on the red carpet on Monday.
Klum shared that her costume, which took over 10 hours to complete, is definitely one of her favorites.
“It’s one of the best I would say, just because it’s so unusual and so big and it’s weird,” she said.
Still, the model admitted that it’s not so easy to move around in the elaborate costume.
“I find it difficult to move. I don’t really have arms or legs,” she said. “When I fall, I need someone to help me up. I get a little stuck in it, you know? It feels a little claustrophobic.
Before making her way down the blue carpet, Klum took to Amazon Live to film her prep process.
She also shared a nude photo of herself to show off her tan ahead of the spooky festivities.
Other guests at the annual spooky celebration included Questlove, who played tunes for the party, and Elon Musk, who arrived with his mother Maye Musk on his arm, as well as Ice-T and Coco, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Kim Petras and Heather Graham.
Partygoers enjoyed Baileys signature cocktails including a Baileys Shakeado and a Baileys S’mores Martini.
Klum has had some memorable Halloween costumes over the years.
The second year she hosted the party, she rode a real horse while dressed as Lady Godiva, and in 2011 fans went crazy over her monkey costume.
In 2013 she dressed as an old lady, and in 2014 she stunned in an elaborate butterfly costume. In 2016, she turned heads when she arrived with five women dressed as her clones.
Perhaps her scariest look was in 2019, when she was unrecognizable as an alien zombie, the creepy costume took 10 hours to create. And in 2018, she looked rugged and majestic as Princess Fiona from the movie “Shrek.”
The party, sponsored by Now Screaming x Prime Video and Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, took place at Tao Group Hospitality’s upcoming modern Japanese restaurant, Sake No Hana.
The model has teamed up with Trick-Or-Treat @unicefusa to help raise awareness for its annual Halloween campaign, which raises money for children in need, according to a press release.
