Happy Halloween!
You might think it would be the easiest day of my year with all the content created by Instagram models and the company where hundreds of thousands of Halloween content are floating around the virtual world.
Bad.
Filtering through Instagram models isn’t easy, guys. This message is not just about throwing a random slut cop. On a day like today, editing is extremely critical as I know the typical reader will spend about five minutes scrolling through screenshots. I know you want the best of the best. Your time is valuable and it’s my job – I still can’t believe I get paid to do this job – to give you the biggest daily morning column in the US.
It’s like being an NFL offensive coordinator and calling the right game with the game on the line. Do you think Peter King feels the pressure on Halloween? Absolutely not. He writes an article about how he had a burger with Sean McVay and how he had bacon, lettuce, ketchup and mustard.
I have to sit here and weave Olivia Dunne and DJ Nata Lee into a post while finding the best Halloween burgers to run in the food section. Believe me, it’s not easy. Like an offensive coordinator who watches his attack get stuffed on 4th and 2 at opponent 37, I have to answer questions via the mailbox.
So let’s go this morning, the most stressful and fun day of the year.
Go easy on my selections. I’m super stressed by today’s column.
Halloween in Georgia
• Louis in Savannah, GA sent several emails:
This is my buddy’s yard in Bloomingdale’s, GA. He’s turned his entire property into a haunted walking trail and it’s fantastic! The pictures don’t do it justice.
Hope you enjoy and have a great Halloween!

At what age is it appropriate for a son to drink beers with dad during football games?
• A screenshot reader writes:
I’m sitting here watching the Bears with my 18 year old son. I allow him to drink a few beers while watching the game. I guess if he’s old enough to go to war, he’s old enough to drink a few beers with his dad. Also, when he goes to college next year, I hope he learns to drink responsibly. What does the screenshot community think? Am I creating an alcoholic? Am I wrong?
No, you are not wrong! You have a beer or beers with your son in a controlled environment where you can set the ground rules and conditions. Let’s face it, if dad has a few beers with his son, chances are the son has already had some. This isn’t Junior’s first rodeo sucking a cold.
Here’s where I’d be concerned: Junior is going to tell his buddies that he sucked cold with his pops and it’s going to end up as gossip in social circles. The high school brothers would need to understand that this was strictly a father and son affair and that the house would not be turned into a dive bar.
Although I don’t have an 18 year old son, I think teenagers need to be reminded not to be wankers in general. Act responsibly. Learning to drink beer with dad is a great place to start.

Speaking of alcohol
• The T’s are officially in Spain and they drink wine.
Mike T. says it’s the red of La Rioja. I have no idea about the wine, but I guess it’s been a great time since Mike T. sent it.
He writes:
For your information, the TNML sticker was in Germany; Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain

And here is the Victor Hugo market in Toulouse, France:

To help!
• Neil writes:
Long first…. blah, blah, blah. Life gets in my way and some days I miss screenshots. Not being an online content creator, so I’m asking as a neophyte, is there a way to link to past posts in today’s post, isn’t it too boring? When I miss a day or 2, you can refer to a day that I missed and I don’t know where to look for the reference.
And if your kids ever play for Perrysburg Golden Football, we can’t be friends. It’s a long story.
I hear you, Neil, talking about the previous days and figuring out what’s going on in the conversation. I recommend bookmarking the Morning Screencaps hashtag. This is where every edition of Screencaps has been archived since 2020. The only thing I’d like to change about the archive is that it doesn’t include an exact date on publication.
This is something I need to discuss with developers who have a lot to do.
Now, there have been threads a couple of times this year about why I don’t open a Discord or some sort of message board for Screencaps readers to communicate. It’s simple: Discord doesn’t pay my bills. The action is here on OutKick. If you need to reach a reader, I’ll send them an email.
Remember, when the internet zigzags, I zigzag. It worked for 15 years and I don’t change now. The internet told me a long time ago that no one would communicate via email and had to do it via DMs or a message board, and yet I’m still alive for another Halloween.
Yes, there are other ways to extend screenshots and it will happen right here on OutKick. If the developers find a way to create our own internal Discord, then that’s okay. Until then, here’s how we’re going to do it. I do not share this community with any other site. No chance.
Pork badonk
• Jeremy P. in Alpharetta, GA, who recently opened a Twitter account right after Elon made his big purchase, writes:
Hi Joe,
I think this might start the next big screenshot debate, but I feel like I need to set the record straight. Eddie in Acworth asked if he should cook his pork fat side up or down. Mark in Frisco wrote and said to cook it fat side up. It’s wrong. The fat will not melt and keep the meat moist. You’re going to end up scraping off that fat after cooking your butt and losing all that bark.
You need to cut the big cap off your pork butt and cook it fat side down. Mark may be used to doing beef this way in Texas, but in Georgia we do pork and we do it well. No offense if they cook their pork differently, but that’s how my dad taught me and he cooked pork butts for our community and church for forty years. If you don’t believe me here is a link to a YouTube video of a pro saying the same thing. Hope all meat smokers weigh in on this one. I would love to hear their opinions and am always looking to learn more about smoking meat. Here is a photo of a butt I cooked a few weeks ago. Thanks a lot!

NFL in London – permanently
• Wayne W. writes:
Since the Jags return to London this weekend, it’s inevitable that they will make a permanent home there. One question on this that I haven’t heard of is the tax implications of a player on a European based team.
If you don’t know, the United States is one of the few countries that taxes its citizens even when they live abroad. So if you were to be a gambler in London, I would assume you would have to pay US tax, and whatever the UK income tax rate.
I was hoping there was someone in the Screencaps community who might know what the tax implications would be for an NFL player based in London. If my suspicions are correct, I guess it would be worse than playing in New York and Los Angeles, and signing free agents would be next to impossible.
Can anyone help Wayne?
And with that, Halloween Screencaps is in the books. This is a great article that many of you have helped piece together with your emails and DMs. Keep those Instagram posts coming. We’re starting to have an active community there and we have big Instagram expansion plans, I think you’ll like it.
Have a nice day. Enjoy these Halloween neighborhood drinks.
